How Was The Statue Built? Presently, Dennis Heaphy is performing a program at the base of the Statue of Liberty demonsrating the art of Repousse. Throughout the day, Thursday through Sunday, Dennis reenacts the process used to form the varying sections of the statue. An entertaining and informative look into what the original builders went through to create this work of art that we have come to see as a lasting symbol of freedom.
